What is Library Camp?

cc: Mario Giambattista

For anyone wondering what the heck a Library Camp is (it doesn’t involve tents…this year anyway!) – it is an informal gathering of all those interested in libraries who would like to come together and discuss emerging trends and interesting topics in the field of library and information science. You don’t have to be a librarian to get involved! Library Camp is meant to be fun, inspiring, and a great way to engage with the profession, no matter what stage you’re at in your career. Our Irish version is one of a number of library camps that have taken place all over the world – see the UK version here. A more detailed explanation can be found in the How Library Camp works section.

This is about your vision for what libraries could and should be about!

There are loads of ideas over on the What to Pitch page if you’re looking for inspiration and we’ve put out a Call for Pitches looking for submissions.

See you all on Saturday 21st May for some lively discussions, surprises & post-event drinks (location to be decided!)
